Emma Watkinson

Born in the mystic landscape of Devon on Beltane, after leaving art college, Emma traveled the world extensively for many years exploring the spirituality of different cultures. Her work is inspired by esoteric study & meditation.  She has a background history in Druidry, spent time immersed in Tibetan Buddhism & has delved deep into the Mystical Kabbalah.

Her gift is in translating spiritual concepts & archetypal mythology into powerful compositions with emotive impact, rendered with highly skilled mischtechnik oil painting.  She spent time assisting the maestro of Fantastic Realism Ernst Fuchs in Vienna, & trained a little with his son Michael Fuchs.

She has studied classical academy discipline through her own research ,the wisdom of various teachers & peers , & some formal courses at the London school of representational art.

Her work has been exhibited widely internationally, including at the Phantastich museum & Gallerie 10 in Vienna and the Castle Gloggnitz memorium exhibit for Fuchs.  She has also exhibited at festivals Boom in Portugal, Burning Man in the U.S., Rainbow Serpent in Australia and Glastonbury & Glade festivals in the U.K amongst many others.  Also a musician & singer, she likes to explore different avenues of expression, & will often be found enjoying her favorite way to relax, which is playing her flute around a campfire.
